Canada YCP – Yukon Community Pilot Pathway to Work in Canada
The Yukon Community Pilot (YCP) is a unique immigration initiative designed to attract foreign workers to the Yukon Territory. It allows participants to work for multiple employers within a designated community under a single open work permit. This approach helps fill critical labor shortages while offering workers a chance to gain Canadian experience and integrate into local life.
Applicants must first qualify under one of Yukon’s nominee program streams and secure job offers from up to three eligible employers. Once approved, candidates can apply for a two-year open work permit tied to the community rather than a single employer.
The YCP is ideal for skilled workers who want flexible employment opportunities in Yukon’s close-knit communities, while also building a pathway toward permanent residency and long-term settlement in Canada.
